How to Play Cloud Drift: Wind Runner
Cloud Drift: Wind Runner is a free endless runner played in the sky. You steer a small flying spirit through a scrolling cloudscape, dodge obstacles, ride out wind gusts and collect coins for as long as you survive. There is nothing to download and no account to create, and it works on desktop and mobile browsers.
Controls
- Tap, click or press space to flap upward.
- Hold to glide: gravity is reduced and you fall more slowly.
- Release to fall at normal speed.
- Touching the ground or the ceiling ends the run immediately.
Obstacles and wind
- Clouds are stationary puffs you steer around.
- Birds fly in a wavy vertical pattern, so they are harder to predict than clouds.
- Gust zones add extra sideways push while you are near them.
- Wind gusts push your whole flight path sideways. An on-screen warning appears just before one starts.
Tips for a higher score
- Use short flaps. Tapping in short bursts keeps you in a comfortable middle band of the screen, which leaves room to react to sudden obstacles.
- React to the gust warning. The alert gives you a moment to reposition before the wind arrives.
- Do not chase every coin. A coin inside a tight gap is rarely worth ending the run for.
- Expect the pace to rise. Scroll speed increases gradually with distance, so the later part of a long run needs faster reactions.
