What ToolPond is
ToolPond is a free website of practical online tools: calculators for health, money and everyday maths, converters and generators, browser games, and written guides that explain how the calculations work. It started in 2026.
Who runs it
I am Shahid Abbas, a web developer based in Pakistan. I write the code and the text myself, test the formulas, and maintain the site. I am not a doctor, financial adviser or lawyer, so health and money tools are presented as general estimates and link to the sources they use.
How the tools are made
Tools are written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and run in your browser. Where a standard formula exists, such as Naegele's rule for pregnancy or Mifflin-St Jeor for calories, I use it and say so on the page. Details are on the methodology page.
What you can find here
- Health and fitness calculators: BMI, body fat, nutrition and macros, stride length, pregnancy due date and daily water intake.
- Money calculators: mortgage, loan, salary and take-home pay, budget planner and currency converter.
- Everyday tools: percentage, GPA, age, word counter, color palette generator and amount in words.
- Browser games: puzzle, arcade and strategy games on the games page, each with its own how-to-play guide.
- Guides: articles on the guides page that explain the formulas behind the tools, with worked examples.
How content is written and checked
Each calculator states the formula or rule it uses. I test results by hand against worked examples before a tool goes live, and guides show their calculations step by step so you can verify them yourself. Tax, health and finance figures are labelled with the year they apply to, and pages carry a last-reviewed date. When someone reports a mistake, I check it, fix the page and update the date.
ToolPond is independent. Tools are free to use and no tool asks you to sign up. If a page shows advertising, it is kept separate from the results, and no result is changed to promote anything.
Your privacy
Numbers you enter into a tool stay in your browser. The site may show advertising from Google AdSense and uses Google Fonts, so Google may set cookies or collect technical data. The Privacy Policy explains this in full.
