Content Calendar

Plan and schedule your social media and blog posts

Track status • Organize by platform • Export as CSV

What This Tool Does

This tool helps you plan and track content across multiple platforms. Add posts with a title, date, platform, status, and description. The calendar sorts posts by date automatically and displays them in a table view.

All data is stored in your browser's localStorage — it persists between sessions on the same device but is not synced to the cloud. Use the Export CSV button to download your calendar for backup or import into other tools like Google Sheets or Trello.

How to Use

  • Add posts: Fill in the form and click Add Post. Each post gets added to your calendar in chronological order.
  • Track status: Use the status dropdown (Planned → In Progress → Scheduled → Published) to track where each piece of content stands.
  • Export: Click Export CSV to download a spreadsheet of all your posts. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or Notion.
  • Delete: Click the Delete button next to any post to remove it from your calendar.

Content Planning Tips

Posting Frequency by Platform

  • Instagram: 3–5 posts per week. Stories can be daily. Reels 3–4 per week for algorithmic reach.
  • TikTok: 1–3 videos per day for growth accounts; 3–5 per week for maintenance.
  • Twitter: 1–5 tweets per day. Threads 1–2 per week.
  • LinkedIn: 2–5 posts per week. Long-form articles 1–2 per month.
  • Blog: 1–4 posts per week depending on niche. Consistency matters more than volume.

Content Mix Strategy

A healthy content calendar balances four types:

  • Educational (40%): How-to posts, tips, tutorials, explainers
  • Engagement (30%): Polls, questions, user-generated content, behind-the-scenes
  • Promotional (20%): Product launches, sales, sign-up CTAs
  • Curated (10%): Industry news, reposts, shoutouts

Batch Planning

Plan content in weekly or monthly batches rather than daily. Set aside 2–3 hours to plan, write captions, and schedule. This reduces daily decision fatigue and ensures consistent posting even during busy weeks.
