How to Play Penalty Duel
Penalty Duel is a free penalty shootout game where you play both sides. On your kicks you aim and charge power before striking. When the CPU kicks, you become the goalkeeper and dive to save. A match follows the real shootout format: five kicks per side, then sudden death if the score is level. There are three difficulty levels, and your win streak is saved.
Controls
- Drag on the ball to aim your shot toward the goal.
- Hold to charge power. A longer hold means a harder, faster shot.
- Release to strike at your aimed spot.
- When defending, watch the kicker's run-up and tap a zone (left, center or right) as soon as you see where the shot is going.
Shootout format and difficulty
- Each side takes 5 kicks. If it is tied after all 10, the match goes to sudden death.
- Rookie: the CPU keeper guesses your direction less often and CPU kicks favor the center.
- Pro: balanced keeper accuracy and corner shots.
- Legend: the CPU keeper reads your direction more often and CPU kicks go to the corners far more.
Tips for a higher score
- Favor the corners. Shots near the posts are harder for the keeper to reach even if they guess right.
- Vary your placement. Using the same corner every time makes your shot easy to predict.
- Choose accuracy over full power near the posts. A well-placed medium-power shot is often safer than a rushed hard one that drifts wide.
- Commit early when saving. Your reaction window is short, so pick a zone as soon as you are reasonably sure.
