How to Play Prism Smash
Prism Smash is a free brick breaker in the classic Breakout tradition, with a neon look, combo scoring and five power-up types plus an extra life. Slide your paddle to keep the ball in play, launch it into the stage above and clear every breakable brick to advance. Stages get faster and add tougher bricks as you progress.
Controls
- Move your mouse or finger to slide the paddle left and right.
- Click, tap or press space to launch the ball from the paddle.
- The ball bounces off the paddle, walls and bricks automatically.
- Missing the ball costs a life. You have three, and losing them all ends the run.
Bricks and power-ups
- Normal bricks break in one hit; tough bricks take two or three hits and show cracks as they are damaged.
- Steel bricks cannot be destroyed, so plan your angles around them.
- Explosive bricks detonate and clear a radius of nearby bricks in a chain reaction.
- Power-ups: Wide Paddle, Multi-Ball (splits into three), Laser, Sticky (catches the ball so you can re-aim), Slow-Mo, and an extra Life, up to a maximum of five.
Tips for a higher score
- Aim for explosive bricks early. One blast can clear several neighbors and speeds up the stage.
- Protect your combo. Combos reset when the ball touches your paddle, so long rallies among the bricks score higher.
- Catch power-ups right away. They fall and vanish if you miss them, so moving to catch one often matters more than lining up a perfect shot.
- Use Sticky to reset your aim when the ball's angle gets awkward.

How does combo scoring work?
Breaking bricks without touching the paddle builds a multiplier. Touching the paddle resets it.
