What Is Prism Smash?

How to Play Prism Smash

1. Move your mouse or finger to slide the paddle left and right.
2. Click, tap, or press space to launch the ball from the paddle.
3. The ball bounces off the paddle, walls, and bricks automatically.
4. Clear every breakable brick on the stage to advance to the next one.
5. Missing the ball with your paddle costs a life — lose all three and the run ends.

Brick Types

• Normal: breaks in a single hit.
• Tough: takes 2–3 hits, showing visible cracks as it takes damage.
• Steel: can't be destroyed — the ball just bounces off it, so plan your angles around these.
• Explosive: detonates on destruction, clearing a radius of nearby bricks in a chain reaction.

Power-Ups

• Wide Paddle: temporarily enlarges your paddle for easier returns.
• Multi-Ball: splits your current ball into three, tripling your brick-breaking coverage.
• Laser: lets you fire projectiles straight up from the paddle to snipe bricks directly.
• Sticky: catches the ball on the paddle on contact so you can re-aim before launching again.
• Slow-Mo: reduces ball speed temporarily, giving you more reaction time.
• Life: adds an extra life, up to a cap of five.

Strategy Tips

1. Target explosive bricks for chain clears

An explosive brick's blast radius can clear several neighboring bricks at once — steering the ball toward these early in a stage speeds up your clear significantly.

2. Protect your combo streak

Combos reset whenever the ball touches your paddle, so try to keep rallies going among the bricks rather than letting the ball return too often if you're chasing a high score.

3. Grab power-ups immediately

Power-ups fall and disappear if you don't catch them — prioritize moving to intercept them over lining up a perfect shot.

4. Use Sticky to reset your aim

If the ball's angle gets awkward, catching it with a Sticky paddle lets you choose a fresh, more controlled launch angle.
