What Is The Last Switch?

The Last Switch is a browser-based 3D logic puzzle game where you toggle switches on a grid until the current pattern matches a target pattern. What makes it more than a simple toggle puzzle is that different switch types affect their neighbors in different ways — some flip a whole row, some flip a linked partner elsewhere on the board, and some stay hidden until triggered. The game unfolds across 25 levels in 5 chapters, with a light AI-facility story told through dialogue between puzzles, plus an Endless Mode for open-ended play. How to Play The Last Switch

1. Click or tap a switch to toggle it on or off.
2. Depending on its type, toggling a switch may also toggle nearby or linked switches.
3. Match the current board (cyan) to the target pattern (gold) shown in the side panel.
4. Drag to rotate the camera and scroll or pinch to zoom for a better view of the grid.
5. Solve within the level's target move count for the best star rating.
6. Use Reset to start the level over, or Skip to move on if you're stuck.

Switch Types

• Normal (cyan): toggles only itself.
• Cross (pink): also toggles its up/down/left/right neighbors.
• Square (gold): also toggles all 8 surrounding neighbors.
• Row (green): also toggles its entire row.
• Column (purple): also toggles its entire column.
• Mirror (magenta): also toggles the tile directly opposite it on the grid.
• Bomb (orange): toggles itself and all 8 surrounding neighbors.
• Teleport (light cyan): also toggles its linked partner switch elsewhere on the board.
• Hidden (dark): invisible until enough nearby switches are toggled on to reveal it.

Scoring & Chapters

Each level has a target move count. Solving at or under that number earns 3 stars, solving within 2 extra moves earns 2 stars, and any successful solve earns at least 1 star. The 25 levels are split across 5 chapters — Security Lab, Power Core, Research Lab, AI Core, and Escape Facility — each introducing new switch types and progressively larger grids.

Strategy Tips

1. Identify switch types before clicking

Each switch type has a distinct color. Take a moment to spot cross, square, row, column, and other special switches before making your first move — this avoids accidental cascades you didn't plan for.

2. Save simple switches for last

Normal switches that only toggle themselves are the easiest to use for fine-tuning. Solve the broader pattern with your wide-effect switches first, then clean up individual tiles with normal switches.

3. Don't be afraid to Reset

If a board gets tangled beyond what you can mentally track, Reset and start over with a clearer plan rather than trying to blindly recover.

4. Use Skip without guilt

Skip completes a level with 0 stars so you can keep progressing — useful if a particular level's mechanic just isn't clicking for you yet.
