What Is Laser Mirrors?

Laser Mirrors is a browser-based logic puzzle: a laser emitter fires a beam across a grid, and mirrors placed on the board redirect it in new directions each time you tap to rotate them. The goal on every level is to light every target crystal at the same time by getting the beam (or beams) to reach each one. Levels grow more complex as you progress, introducing splitters that fork a beam, portals that teleport it, and color filters that only pass matching-color light. It's free to play with no download, signup, or login required, and every level is generated and verified as solvable before you play it.

How to Play Laser Mirrors

1. Tap a mirror to rotate it 90°, changing which direction it reflects the beam.
2. The beam travels in a straight line until it hits a mirror, wall, splitter, portal, filter, or crystal.
3. Splitters fork one beam into two separate beams continuing in different directions.
4. Portals teleport a beam to its paired portal elsewhere on the board.
5. Color filters only let a beam through if its color matches the filter, or if either is white.
6. Light every target crystal at once to complete the level.
7. Use Hint or Undo if you get stuck or make a mistake.

Scoring & Stars

Each level calculates the true minimum number of rotations needed to solve it from the scrambled starting position — shown as your "Best Known" count. Solving at or under that number earns 3 stars, solving within 1.5 times that number earns 2 stars, and any successful solve earns at least 1 star. There's no time pressure, so take the time to plan your rotations.

Strategy Tips

1. Trace the current beam path first

Before rotating anything, follow the glowing beam path on the board to understand where it currently goes and why. Random rotations without this context tend to waste moves.

2. Work outward from the emitter

Solve the beam's path one mirror at a time starting from the emitter, rather than trying to fix the whole path at once.

3. Watch for splitters and portals as opportunities

A splitter means you likely need to solve two separate paths from that point forward — treat each fork independently. A portal means the beam's exit point could be anywhere on the board, so check both portal locations.

4. Save hints for genuinely stuck moments

You only get 3 hints per level. Use them when you're truly unsure what to try next, not as a shortcut for the first mirror you see.
