What Is Save the Ball?

Save the Ball is a browser-based physics drawing puzzle. Rather than controlling the ball directly, you draw lines that become solid barriers the instant you press GO — the ball then bounces, rolls, and falls according to real physics against whatever shape you've built. Getting a level right is about designing a shield, not reflexes. It's free to play in your browser with no download, signup, or login required.

How to Play Save the Ball

1. Draw — drag your finger or mouse to sketch a shield around the ball.
2. Clear — tap ↺ Clear to erase your shield and start over if you're not happy with it.
3. Go — tap ▶ GO to lock your drawing in and let physics take over.
4. Watch how the ball reacts, and meet the level's objective — survive, reach a zone, stay inside an area, or protect two balls at once.
5. Retry — tap Retry after any attempt to redraw your shield from scratch.

Ink & Level Objectives

Ink is your drawing budget for the level, shown as a bar at the top of the screen that drains as you draw. Every level gives you a fixed amount, so a shield that's needlessly long or overly detailed can leave you without enough ink to finish it properly. The skill in Save the Ball isn't drawing fast — it's drawing efficiently.

Objectives vary by level:

• Survive: keep the ball alive for a set number of seconds.
• Reach the safe zone: guide the ball into a marked target area.
• Stay inside: keep the ball within a bounded area for the full duration.
• Protect both: two balls to keep safe at once, with one shield budget to cover both.

Worlds in Save the Ball

60 levels are split evenly across 5 worlds, 12 levels each, unlocking in order as you clear them:

Strategy Tips

1. Sketch the shape in your head first

Since drawing costs ink, planning the shield mentally before you start avoids wasting ink on a false start you'll need to Clear.

2. A shallow curve often beats a deep pocket

Cradling the ball with a gentle curve uses less ink than building walls on every side.

3. Watch the hazard pattern before committing

Hazards often move in a readable rhythm — a shield timed around that rhythm needs far less ink than one built to block everything at once.

4. Stuck? Fail a level a few times

Save the Ball shows a hint automatically after enough failed attempts on the same level, so a few honest tries are worth it first.
